Our Spine and Pain management program is unique. We have specialists that span every discipline required to treat your neck and back pain in one program. This means that you will be matched with the specialist/specialists who are most qualified to help coordinate your treatment plan and give the right care.

Pain Management physicians specialize in nonsurgical, interventional treatments designed to help relieve pain.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physicians, also known as physiatrists, treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. Our physiatrists focus on the importance of non-surgical treatment options, such as physical therapy, medication management and injections to treat pain.

Our Spine surgeons specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with scoliosis or spinal deformities, spinal cord or nerve compression, tumors of the spine, and neck or back pain. They are trained the most advanced treatments options including minimally invasive spine surgery, kyphoplasty, complex spinal revision and reconstructive surgery.

Psychologists are experts in helping people cope with the thoughts, feelings and behaviors that accompany chronic pain. Our Pain Psychologist works as a part of the Spine and Pain multidisciplinary team to help address both the physical and emotional aspects of a patient’s pain.

We have outpatient locations in Grand Rapids, Grand Haven and Zeeland, with additional spine surgery clinics in Fremont, Greenville, Holland, and Reed City. Inpatient and outpatient elective spinal surgery is performed at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, and outpatient in Zeeland. 

When appropriate, virtual appointments are available for follow-up care.
