MAPS registration
Michigan law requires all licensed providers prescribing controlled substances to register with the Michigan Automated Prescribing System (MAPS). Prior to prescribing a controlled substance to a patient, providers must query and review MAPS. When registering be prepared with the following:
- DEA number
- Professional license number
- Controlled substance number
- NPI number – individual or employer
- Primary employer address
