Our pledge
As an organization, we pledge to reduce our environmental impact by developing strategies that amplify and expand existing efforts — intentional purchasing practices, team member engagement, resource management, responsible waste disposal and operational efficiency.
Our sustainability goals
• Recycle, compost or reprocess 40% of waste.
• Purchase 20% of total food products from local, diverse and sustainable sources.
• Double spending with certified women and minority-owned businesses.
• Reduce carbon emissions from energy consumption by 15%.
• Reduce greenhouse gas emissions specific to anesthetic gas by 50%.
• Half of newly purchased or leased fleet vehicles will be electric, hybrid or alternative fuel.
• All Corewell Health facilities will be carbon neutral by 2040.
